909 Til Infinity's debut EP, Bee Dee, flew off digital shelves at the end of last year thanks to their fiery combo of House, Techno, and Funk. The duo, made up of LA via NYC's MANIK and Denver's option4, have returned with a second EP for the label, Don't Clock Me Out.
"We're trying to make music with an edge to it, so don't cut yourself," option4 jokes to Thump. "But in reality we're just making stuff for people to have fun to and not take too seriously. Life is only fun if you're living."
Premiered by Thump, "Don't Clock Me Out" is an ode to club curfew. Throw on this acidic house heater when you don't want the night to be over. B-side "Do That," premiered by Dancing Astronaut, is a throwback to the days of Sega Genesis. "Do That's" pulsating low-end is accented by bells and effects fit for a video game's final level. We've come to expect tongue and cheek tracks from this new duo, and 909 Til Infinity's follow up does not disappoint.
